The task of this project was to create a unique typeface and use it in appropriately created branding. I want to do everything I was capable of doing on my own. The typeface, lovingly titled “Last Word” was created in illustrator the brought into a program to turn it to a functioning typeface. I created a simple system with which I could expand to fit all the characters of the alphabet. this structure then lent itself to more creatively expressive ligatures that give the font life. With a full font created I used it to create the Logo and label for a series of gins produced by the fictional Scotland based distillery, Rain Water. I then printed the labels I made in Illustrator and stuck them on bottles to complete the effect. Lastly I used those photos along with the type to make marketing material for the gin
